Karl-Franzens-University Graz, Austria: The Nanooptics Group of Prof. Joachim R. Krenn uses a Nanonis SPM controller in combination with the  oscillation control module for their home-built tuning-fork PSTM (photon scanning tunneling microscope).

Université de Technologie de Troyes, France: Dr. Pascal Royer opted for the flexibility of the Nanonis controller for this new SNOM (Scanning Near-field Optical Microscope) set-up to be coupled with a FTIR spectrometer.

Institut Néel, Grenoble, France: Dr. Serge Huant preferred the Nanonis controller for his homebuilt microscopes. He now uses three Nanonis systems for Scanning Gate Microscopy at liquid helium temperature with tuning fork, a very sensitive microscope with interferometry detection to measure Casimir forces as well as a SNOM with photo-counter.

DPMC, Université de Genève, Switzerland: Prof. Patrycja Paruch switched to Nanonis to control an Omicron VT-AFM. It is now possible to easily switch between any AFM modes including piezo-response force microscopy (PFM). The OC4 is either used as a PLL or fast digital lock-in.

Chemistry Department, University of California in Los Angeles, USA: Prof. Jim Gimzewski opted for two complete Nanonis controllers for his original home-built Electrochemical-STM with atomic resolution in air or in liquid.

Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing, Dübendorf, Switzerland: In the group of Dr. Urs Sennhauser the home-built Scanning Near Field Optical Microscope (SNOM) is controlled by Nanonis SPM controller combined with the oscillation control module.

IMRE, Singapore: For his home-built BEEM microscope, Dr. Cédric Troadec preferred the Nanonis control system for maximum flexibility. For instance, the integration of the attocube positioners is done seamlessly through the Nanonis software.

Institut Néel, Grenoble, France. Prof. Hervé Courtois uses Nanonis to control his home-built STM/AFM with tuning fork and operating in an inverted dilution refrigerator. He appreciates the flexibility offered by the Nanonis programming interface in LabVIEW.

Nanotechnology Group, ETH Zurich, Switzerland: A control system with a double Phase Locked Loop to control a Veeco Multimode AFM in the group of Prof. A. Stemmer. The KPFM module is used in an advanced single pass technique. See the paper in Nanotechnology for the results.

Universität Regensburg, Germany: Prof. Ch. Back uses a Nanonis system for his home-made BEEM. The magnetization of the sample is controlled directly from the Nanonis interface.

Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium: Nanophysics group of Prof. Chris Van Haesendonck uses an extended Nanonis SPM control system for RF spectroscopy measurements with a home-built LT-SPM to investigate carbon nanotubes.

Catalysis Research Center, Hokkaido University, Japan: Dr. S. Suzuki uses the Nanonis SPM Control System for research with a Unisoku UHV AFM at the beamline of the Photon Factory in Tsukuba, Japan.

Laboratory of Ultrafast Spectroscopy, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland: Home-built Scanning Near Field Optical Microscope (SNOM) controlled by a Nanonis SPM control system with the oscillation control module.

Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing, Thun, Switzerland: Combination of a Scanning Electron Microscope and an non-contact SPM controlled by Nanonis Controller.

Nanonis SO5/TSO 16-channel signal source released

The SO5 and TSO are 16-channel precision, low-noise analog output add on modules for the Nanonis SPM Control System and the Nanonis Tramea quantum transport measurement system. Nanonis Tramea users can profit from up to 48 temperature-stabilized 20-bit signal sources able to control even the most complex nanostructures.
